Card Payment Errors

We’re seeing an increase in card errors at checkout.

This is because of new security measures being rolled out by banks and card providers, commonly known as two-factor authentication.

If your card payment fails on the first attempt, it’s likely you need to complete two-factor authentication for your payment.

Some banks allow you to do this from within their banking apps. Others might send a text message asking you to approve your payment.

Please do not keep on attempting to checkout without first checking that your payment needs verifying.

Additional attempts will not validate, and you might end up blocking your own card.

If you believe your card does not require verification but were shown an error, please carefully double-check your card details before pressing the place order button, paying particular attention to your card number, three-digit CVV number, and the expiry date. Any one of these being incorrect will result in your payment being declined.

If you are unable to use a banking app to verify your payment, please use PayPal instead.

You do not need a PayPal account when using the guest checkout option.

To use the guest checkout option, select PayPal and choose the black ‘debit or credit card’ button.
